Accessibility
Our commitment
Justin Parlette, Your Funny Friend is committed to making this website accessible to everyone, including people with disabilities. We aim to meet or exceed the Web Content Accessibility Guidelines (WCAG) 2.2 AA standard.
What we do
This website is built with accessibility in mind from the ground up:
- Semantic HTML for screen readers and assistive technology
- Keyboard navigation for all interactive elements
- Color contrast that meets WCAG AA requirements
- Alt text on all meaningful images
- Clear heading structure on every page
- No reliance on color alone to convey information
- Reduced motion support for people sensitive to animation
- Readable font sizes that scale with browser settings
Automated auditing
We run automated accessibility audits on every update using industry-standard tools. These audits check for common issues including missing alt text, low contrast, broken ARIA attributes, and heading order problems.
Last accessibility review: updated with each site deployment.
Known limitations
While we strive for full accessibility, some limitations may exist:
- Third-party embedded content (maps, videos) may have accessibility gaps outside our control
- Older PDF documents may not be fully tagged for screen readers
- User-submitted content may not always meet our accessibility standards before review
We actively work to identify and fix accessibility issues as they arise.
